CALVES AND LAMBS
CHILDREN’S REARING COMPETITIONS RESULTS AT FERNRIDGE SCHOOL. A LARGE ATTENDANCE OF PUBLIC. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance of parents and friends at the calf and lamb competitions at the Fernridge School. Mr Perry judged the lambs, Mr Harcombe the calves, and Mrs W. James the vase of flowers. The results were as follows: — Calves: Nancy Heyhoe 1, Peter Laing 2, Peter Kerins 3. Lambs: Roger Laing 1, Donald Laing 2, Raymond Cundy 3. Vase of flowers: Senior, Nancy Heyhoe, 1; junior, Noele Broad, 1. An enjoyable time was brought to a close by Mr W. James according a vote of thanks to the judges and the parents for having supplied afternoon tea.
