ANGLICAN CHURCH CARD PARTY ON SATURDAY NIGHT ( u Times-Age” Special.) A very enjoyable flag 500 party was held in the Church Hall on Saturday night. There- was a good attendance and those present spent an enjoyable time. The games were well contested and were ably controlled by Mr D. Scott. The prizes were donated by Mrs P. Bouzaid and were won as follows: Men, Dr Simmers, T. Parsons and W. Anderson. Ladies: Mrs Bouzaid. Dr Simmers (vicar’s warden) apologised for the absence of the vicar and expressed thanks to all who had helped to make the gathering successful. Supper provided by guild members and friends was greatly appreciated. The hostesses were Mesdames P. Bouzaid, D. D. Hart and H. W. Gallagher. Personal Items Mrs W. H. Daniel and Misses Pauline and Barbara Daniel, Wellington, were weekend guests of Mr and Mrs S. Daniel, High Street. Mrs F. Kensington, Palmerston North, is visiting her daughter, Mrs P. Bouzaid, Newman Road. Miss R. Mitchell, Palmerston North, spent the weekend with Miss Hooper, Stanley‘Street.
