CONCERT AND DANCE TO BE HELD TO WIND UP SEASON’S ACTIVITIES A meeting of the council of the Saint Andrew Society was held lasi evening and was presided over by the Chief, Mr H. Mackenzie Douglas, who expressed .the thanks of the council to Mr Alan James for his efforts which resulted in such a successful Halloween gathering. Arrangements were made for the holding of a concert and dance in the Masonic Hall on Tuesday, November 30 (Saint Andrew’s night) as a wind-up to the society's activities for the season. This gathering will be open to the general public and a special concert programme has been arranged to be followed by Scottish and old time dancing until 1 a.m. Mrs Bell has undertaken to provide a haggis. The members of the council stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mrs Wm. C. Mann.
