Interhouse Association Dance.
There was a splendid attendance at the Masonic Hall, Masterton, last night, when the Wairarapa Interhouse Association held its final dance before the gala day on November 27. The music was supplied by Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra and extras were played by Miss B. Hawke. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss H. Sutherland and Mr Bond. Messrs J. Bruce and F. Stains were efficient M’s.C. Drapers’ Federation. The Dominion Council of the New Zealand Drapers’ Federation will meet in Wellington on Tuesday and Wednesday next. Mr F. A. Smith (Auckland) is president, and Mr W. A. Armstrong (Nelson) vice-president. The principal matter for discussion will be the supply of clothing for 1944. Trentham Camp Artists.
• Box plans for the concert in aid of the Patriotic funds by the Trentham Military Band and camp artists which will be a feature of the Wairarapa Interhouse Association gala weekend will open at the Regent Theatre, Masterton, on Monday morning. Those who wish to hear this talented combination are advised to book early.
