It was resolved that Mr Jenkins be asked to report on the cost of the renovation of the grandstand and failing his being able to do so the matter be left to the committee to arrange. Final arrangements in connection with the Rugby Union Ball were made. It was stated that visitors would be present from Cross Creek, Martinborough, Featherston, Greytown, Masterton, Carterton, and other parts of the district. Arrangements are being made for a bus to run to Carterton from Masterton. It was stated that indications pointed to the fact that the ball would be the outstanding gathering of the year.
