FEATHERSTON
LEAGUE OF MOTHERS BUSINESS AT MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age" Special.) Mrs Arch. Clark presided over the monthly meeting of the League of Mothers on Thursday afternoon, at which Mrs Neville Parsonson gave an interesting talk on Social Problems. The president thanked the secretary and treasurer and the members for their loyal support and co-operation during the year. She stated that League activities would commence again in March next year. Meetings are to be held on the third Thursday in each month. The hostesses were Mesdames Young, J. Brown and Arch. Clark. Personal. Mr and Mrs P. R. Stansell and Mrs J. Taylor, of Lower Hutt, and ,Mr J. Aimes, Plimmerton, were visitors to Featherston yesterday. Citizens’ Wartime Service. The Citizens’ United Wartime Service is to be held in the Town Hall on Sunday evening when the Rev. J. R. Higgs will be the speaker. COSY THEATRE “TRUE TO THE ARMY.” •Tonight at the Cosy Theatre there will be shown the brilliant musical comedy, “True to the Army,” in which the chief roles are taken by Judy Canova, Jerry Colonna, Allan Jones and Ann Miller.
