ITALIAN CHIEF OF STAFF 9 ACCUSED OF WAR CRIMES. SAID TO BE ON YUGOSLAV LIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received Thir Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDC'N, November 12. It is officially announced that General Roatta, Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, has been removed from his post. The Associated Press Algiers correspondent, reporting this, points out that Roatta's removal is the first tangible evidence that the Allied Command, is calling on Marshal Badoglio to rid the Italian Army of former Fascist commanders who are accused of infamous conduct. Roatta is reported to be on the Yugoslav Government’s list of war criminals, who will be brought to trial after the war.
