NAZI OFFICIAL’S CLAIM
U-BOATS ACTIVE AGAIN
AFTER ALMOST COMPLETE CESSATION
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 10.
Reuter quotes the newspaper “Der Fuehrer Karlsruhe” as stating that Gauleiter Robert Wagner, chief of the civil administration in occupied AlsaceLorraine, told a meeting that Germany had been forced to abandon the U-boat warfare almost completely because the enemy had found defensive weapons which promised success. This trouble, however, had now been overcome and the U-boats were again active.
