BIG SHIPMENTS OF FOOD
SENT TO NORTH AFRICA EXPORTS OF RAW MATERIALS (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 10. The Allies have shipped 220,000 tons of foodstuffs to North Africa during the past year apart from military supplies. President Roosevelt’s representative, Mi’ Murphy, disclosed this at Algiers. He added that Algeria and Morocco had sent 900,000 tons of raw materials to Allied countries. More than 785,000 tons of French merchant shipping were used for the shipment of these raw materials.
