GENERAL GIRAUD RESIGNS JOINT PRESIDENCY. RETAINS COMMAND OF ARMED • FORCES. LONDON, November 9. General Giraud has resigned from the position of joint President of the French National Committee of Liberation and General de Gaulle now becomes sole President. General Giraud remains Commander-in-Chief of the French armed forces.
