NOXIOUS WEEDS
SPREAD IN MASTERTON COUNTY. The spread of broom and gorse in the Opaki Riding was mentioned by Councillor P. R. Welch at yesterday afternoon's meeting’ of the Masterton County Council. The County Clerk, Mr J. C. D. Mackley, said the matter had been placed in the hands of the Department of Agriculture some time ago. Mr Welch said that nothing had been done. “Noxious weeds are a problem what with high wages,” said Mr R. E. Gordon Lee, chairman. The longer they are left the worse they get,” said Councillor J. W. Cclquhoun.
It was decided to again refer the matter to the Department.
