YOUTH WEEK

MASTERTON CAMPAIGN BIBLE CLASS RALLY LAST NIGHT. CHURCHES WELL REPRESENTED. The Youth Week campaign in Masterton was successfully continued - last night, when a Bible Class rally was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms. There was a large attendance and nearly all the churches were represented. Visitors were present from Featherston. A fine address was delivered and lantern slides were shown by Captain Troughon. The singing, led by the Salvation Army Band, was of a high order. Mr L. M. Johansen, general secretary of the Y.M.C.A., sang a solo, which was particularly well received. A light supper was afterwards served. Today the Ladies’ Auxiliary of .the Y.M.C.A. held a most successful shop day. The games hall was lined with effectively decorated stalls, which were laden with goods. Brisk business was transacted. Generous support was given by the public. A feature of the Shop Day was a rockery in the middle of the hall, the artistic work of the general secretary, Mr L. M. Johansen.

Tonight a modern and old time dance will be held. A particularly good programme has been arranged, and patrons are assured of a happy time. The gymnasium has been gaily decorated with flags and greenery. Tomorrow, at 5.30 p.m./a father and daughter tea will be held, and at 7.30 p.m. a concert will be held.
