EKETAHUNA
WELCOMED HOME MEMBERS OF FORESTRY UNIT. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very large and representative crowd of both town and country residents assembled in the Main Street yesterday to welcome two members of the Forestry Unit, who have recently returned home. • In the absence of the Mayor, Councillor Simmers (Deputy Mayor) extended a warm welcome to the men on behalf of the residents of the borough. Mr J. B. Carruthers, on behalf of the county, and Mr W. Hornblow, R.S.A., also' welcomed the men. The returned men were Mr E. Smith (Hamua) and Mr W. Morriss (Newman), both of whom replied briefly, and said they were very happy to be back in New Zealand. Personal Items. Mrs W. G. Macky, who has been visiting friends in Eketahuna, returned to her home in Te Awamutu yesterday. Mr and Mrs T. Frek have returned to New Plymouth after having been the guests of Mr and Mrs H. E. Roger, Station Road.
Mrs A. Fredericksen, Anderson Street, & visiting Wellington. Mrs W. Olsen, Newman Road, is on a visit to Wellington.
