SMUTS GOVERNMENT
EMPHATICALLY ENDORSED. IN PROVINCIAL ELECTIONS IN SOUTH AFRICA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY, November 3. In the Provincial elections, South Africa has emphatically endorsed the Smuts Government and its policy, states an agency message from Cape Town. The Free State has given the Government Party, a majority of two to one, and it is significant that in the Transvaal and Cape Colony seats regarded as doubtful have been well won and several others taken from the Opposition.
