PLANES COLLIDE
ALL FOUR OCCUPANTS LOSE LIVES ACCIDENT IN SOUTH ISLAND. DURING TRAINING OPERATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Two aircraft of the R.N.Z.A.F. collided in midair yesterday near a South Island Air Force station. Each aircraft contained an’ instructor and an airman pilot under .training, all of whom lost their lives. The personnel concerned were: Flying Officer Travis Lester Osborn; father, Mr T. L. A. Osborn, of Hamilton. Leading Aircraftman Robert Lindsay Hulbert; mother-, Mrs R. Hulbert, Christchurch. pilot Officer Ralph Keith Stringer; father, Mr H. G. Stringer, Motueka. Leading Aircraftman Maxwell Beattie; wife, Mrs M. Beattie, Christchurch.
