HOKITIKA, This DayThe members of the missing plane party are reported all well. They were seen with the., rescue party, walking down the glacier this morning, and are expected to arrive at the foot of the glaciei this afternoon, at about 3 o’clock. An earlier message from Hokitika slated that the missing plane had been sighted by a searching aircraft late yesterday afternoon. The plane was lying, badly smashed, on the ice near the Alma Hut, above the glacier area. It was added that one body could be seen, but no sign of life. The passengers in the wrecked plane, all now reported safe, were Misses Clare McQuitty (Dunedin). Molly Wilson (Morrinsville), and Margaret Cornwall (Cambridge), and Mrs M. J. Ward (Whangarei). The plane was in charge of Pilot Oppenshaw.
