SOCIAL SECURITY CHARGE
NATIONAL TAX. An instalment of the combined Social Security and National Security Charge on income other than salaries or wages derived during the year ended March 31, 1943, falls due on November 1. The instalment is payable on all such income derived by male and female persons (including natives) sixteen years of age or over, and by trustees (whether or not the beneficiaries are entitled to receive the income during the income year). A penalty of 10 per cent is payable on any amount not paid within one month following the due date. On November 1 an instalment of the registration fee (ss) also becomes payable by all male persons, including natives, twenty years of age or over, and all such persbns must pay the fee or establish the right to exemption.
