W.R.E.N. DIETITIANS

ADVISORY ROLE IN CANADA. OTTAWA, October 16. Five WREN dietitians have been appointed ot act in an advisory capacity in the preparation of food for all Canadian naval ships and establishments. All were trained and experienced dietitians before entering the Womens Royal Canadian'Naval Service. lhe duty of these officers will be to see that the men get a balanced and varied diet. The step is unprecedented _ m either the Canadian or British navies. No change in the naval rations is contemplated, but it is believed that the women dietitians will see that the best possible use is made of the rations now provided by analysing menus, detecting diet deficiencies, and by planning meals that are easy to prepare in small ships and in rough weather.
