CROIX DE GUERRE

PILOT OFFICER F. E. HOGG Mr and Mrs D. Hogg, of Sussex Street, Masterton, have received word today that their son. Pilot Officer F. E. Hogg, D.F.C., has been awarded the Croix de Guerre. The citation states' the award was “for courage and devotion to duty during a large number of operational sorties and also successfully completing several experimental operations over Belgian territory. - ’ Pilot Officer Hogg was a pupil of the Lansdowne School and received his secondary education at Wairarapa High School. (On the air station to which he is attached the only other holder of the award is a Belgian officer.
