COMPETITION WINNERS AT INSTITUTE MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held at the residence of Mrs R. Miller yesterday afternoon, Mrs W. J. Cottle presiding over a good attendance of members. Two delegates were elected to attend the half yearly council meeting in Carterton on November 12. It was decided that the competition for November be a Christmas novelty. Potatoes for the potato competition were distributed to members. Mrs Miller gave an interesting talk on her travels abroad and exhibited a number of souvenirs. Afternoon tea was served. On the motion of Mrs Jarrett, Mrs Miller was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for the use of her home and for her address. The winners of the competitions were: —Miniature garden: Mrs Hewitt, 1; Miss J. Cottle, 2; Miss M. Cottle, 3. Best bloom: Miss M. Cottle, 1; Mrs Wright, 2; Mrs Hewitt, 3.
