ENEMY AIRCRAFT
DESTROYED BY BRITISH TRAWLER MACHINE PLUNGES INTO SEA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) RUGBY, October 11. The Admiralty states that the trawler Heroine reports that, in the vicinity of Sheerness, she engaged an enemy aircraft which burst into flames, plunged into the sea and exploded. A search revealed a large patch of oil, but no survivors.
