INTER=CLUB MATCH MASTERTON v MAHUNGA WIN FOR MASTERTON An interclub match was played at the Mahunga Golf Club’s links during the weekend between members of the Mahunga and Masterton Golf Clubs. The Masterton Club won by 2 games in the fourball match and by 5 games in the singles match, one game being halved in the singles. The individual matches resulted as follows, Mahunga members being mentioned first in each instance:—

Fourball: Ward and McPherson beat Faulknor and Lucas; Hendry and Beecroft lost to McKenzie and Esau; Dove and Jones lost to Baker and Mullis; Jenkins and Heasley lost to Long and Futter; Sutherland and McFarlane beat Shearer and Herbert; Brockett and Young lost to Candy and Brinkman; O’Connor and Welply beat Welch and Burridge; Fared and Lusty lost to Bodie and McCalmont.

Singles: Ward beat Faulknor, McPherson lost to Lucas, Hendry bept McKenzie, Beecroft lost to Esau, Dove lost to Baker, Jones lost to Mullis, Jenkins lost to Long, Heasley lost to Futter.
