Mrs. L. T. Daniell, Akura, is staying at Paraparaumu Beach.
Mrs. R. Whyborn, First Street, Lans- ‘ downe, is visiting Auckland. , Driver V. W. Graham, of Worksop I Road, Masterton, is at present an inmate of the Masterton Hospital; . The interment of the late Mr. J. W. Carter took place at the Masterton Cemetery yesterday, the Rev. Father Moore conducting the burial service. Among a number of wreaths was one from the furnishing staff of the W.F.- | C.A., Ltd. The pall-bearers were Messrs. R. R., S. V., A. 1., and T. Carter. The funeral of the late Mr. F. W. Bartholomew, of Tinui, took place yesterday. There was a large attendance of settlers from the surrounding districts and many beautiful wreaths wore in evidence, including one from the directors and management of the W.F.C.A., Ltd. The Rev. W. Tye conducted the service at the Tinui cemetery. Messrs. L. T. Daniell, A. Schofield, E. Schofield and N. W. Groves were the pall-bearers. There was a representative attendance at the funeral in Master ton yesterday afternoon of the late Mr. E. Richards. The Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich conducted the service at the 'chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, Ltd., and also officiated at the Masterton Cemetery. Wreaths were sent by the directors, management and staff of the W.F.C.A., Ltd., the president and members of the Masterton Bowling Club, and the staff of the Regent Theatre, besides many others from private sympathisers. The pall-bearers were Private R. Richards, Messrs. W. Nielsen, H. Hughes, H. s Keisenberg, R. W. Gunn and F. R. Evans. '
