Enjoyable Dance.
1 The Wairarapa Interhouse Associa- : tion held a largely attended dance in ' the Masonic Hall, Masterton, last night. ’ The music was supplied by Mrs. V. J. Ashton’s orchestra, and extras were .played by Miss Madden. The duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Messrs. L. Askew and J. Bruce. A special feature was a fox trot competition" for service men and their partners for which Mr. Bruce McHattie was : judge. In a close contest the decision ; was awarded to Private E. Spackman' J and Miss Williams. A Monte Carlo ’ waltz was won by Miss Davis and Mr. O’Brien. Supper was served by the j junior representative indoor basketball 1 team. The next Interhouse Association j dance will be held on Saturday, Octo- t bcr 23.
