ST. MARK’S CHURCH CONFIRMATION SERVICE. (“Times-Age” Special.) St. Mark’s Church was well filled yesterday morning when nine boys and 13 girls were confirmed by the Bishop of Wellington, the Rev. St. B. Holland. Yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church,. Mrs Holland, wife of thovßev. J. F. Holland, of Lower Hutt, who is at present overseas with the New Zealand forces, delivered an impressive address to many young people on the Youth throughout the Dominion. Personal Items. Mr Frank Jensen, of Brooklyn Road, Carterton, has found it necessary to enter the Masterton Hospital for treatment. The death occurred at his residence, Miramar, on Saturday of Constable James Mark O’Connor, at the age of 64 years. He was well known in Carterton, having been in charge of the local station for some time before his transfer to Miramar. Salvation Army Gathering. A treat is in store for Car ter ton residents tonight at the Salvation Army Hall, when the Masterton Corps Band and Songsters will give one of thenbright programmes. A stall containing cakes, toys, jam, etc., will be in charge of the Home League ladies. Terminating Building Society. Mr. L. H. Smart, chairman, presided over a meeting of directors of the Wairarapa Terminating Building Society, when a ballot for an appropriation of £6OO was won by Mr. W. F. Hill. ,
