HEAVY FIGHTING

GOING ON IN BALKANS RAILWAY VITAL TO GERMANS CUT YUGOSLAVS ATTACKING ALONG MONTENEGRIN COAST (By Telegraph—Frees Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, September 20. The Yugoslav Army of Liberation is attacking along the whole Montenegrin coast, says Reuter’s Zurich correspondent. Heavy fighting is going on near Split. The important railway from Vienna, through Budapest, Belgrade and Sofia to Salonika, has been cut in several places near Nish. This line is essential for supplying the Germans. Serb patriots, after violent fighting against a German elite formation, captured the Kopaonic region, with the important towns of Brus and Kursevarc. Partisans sank three German Eboats near Scutari.
