GREYTOWN
TOWN LANDS TRUST NEW MEMBER WELCOMED. (“Timee-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Trustees of the Greytown Town Lands Trust was held last night. There were present: Messrs F. Dennes (chairman), W. Grigg, F. Best, H. G. Carter, H. J. Nightingale, A. H. York and the secretary, Mr J. Kiernan. The chairman extended a hearty welcome to the new member, Mr Best. Accounts passed for payment amounted to £124 7s sd, of which £lll 6s 2d was for borough rates. Soldiers’ Parcels Fund, Two special attractions in the entertainment to be given in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening in aid of the Soldiers’ Parcels Fund are items by a Gypsy troupe directed by Mrs G. R. Jury and an exhibition of quarterstaff by the Boy Scouts under the leadership of Mr L. R. Huntley. The sale of tickets has been successfully undertaken by the Junior Red Cross branch. Seats may be reserved on production, of tickets at Mr H. G. Carter’s shop. TOWN HALL “NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.” Tomorrow night’s programme will be headed by the brilliant comedy, “Nothing But the Truth,” in which Bob Hope, Paulette Goddard and Edward Arnold have the principal roles. It is a programme that can be thoroughly recommended for its all-round excellence. There will be a matinee at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow.
