SOLDIERS’ COMFORTS
ARTICLES SENT AWAY DURING TWO MONTHS. The secretary of the Masterton Women’s Patriotic Committee reported at the last monthly meeting that the following articles had been forwarded to Wellington? during July and August from the Wairarapa zone: 708 balaclavas, 516 scarves, 732 pairs mittens, 744 hussifs and 48 pairs socks, while 144 pairs mittens made from old socks by the Townswomen’s Guild were sent to Waiouru.
