SAY IT AGAIN
People who have voted at previous elections will recall that the public of New Zealand have emphaticaly rejected prohibition on all occasions. Yet the Licensing Question must be decided again at the forthcoming General Election. Thoughtful voters will realise the importance of again striking a blow for personal liberty by voting for Continuance. Neglect to do so might conceivably allow a small minority to impose prohibition—with all its attendant evils and expense—on the New Zealand people. All the world has rejected prohibition, which is an acknowledged universal failpre. The outstanding experiment was made in the United States, which gave prohibition a thorough trial, lasting 14 years and costing billions of dollars. The nation-wide scandal became so obnoxious that repeal of prohibition was carried by the biggest majority ever recorded on any question. New Zealand cannot afford such an experiment. Hold fast to Liberty—vote Continuance. Strike out the two bottom lines. —Advt.
