OBITUARY
MR G. S. NAPIER. The death occurred in Masterton yesterday of Mr George Stewart Napier, of Alfredton, at the age of 49 years. The late Mr Napier, who was born at Alfredton, had resided there all his life. He saw service in the Great War with the Second Battalion of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade. He was treasurer of the Patriotic Committee, a member of the Farmers’/Union, of the Alfredton Rifle Club and of the Home Guard. He is survived by a widow, two daughters and one son. One son predeceased him. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving theJate residence, following a 1 service at 2 p.m. for the Alfredton Cemetery. mr m. savage. The death occurred at the Buchanan Home, Greytown, on Saturday, of Mr Michael Savage, at the age of 81 years. The late Mr Savage, who was a single man, had lived in the Wairarapa for many years. A brother, Mr Maurice Savage, died on August 24. The funeral took place in Masterton this afternoon.
