GREYTOWN
DOG TAX COLLECTION (“Times-Age” Special.) At the last meeting of the Greytown Borough Council, the following letter, addressed to the Town Clerk, was received from Mr H. W. Jordan: —“Your letter to hand re dog tax I wish to point out to you that the collection is practically finished, your letter was uncalled for under the present conditions I am working 70 hours per week and I am doing my job for the council. I also wish to point out to you that the Council Chambers is not the place to register dogs. I am the registrar and if anybody wishes to register a dog, if they call at my place the job will be done. The gentleman who left the Ils at the office for his dog passes my place four times a day so if he was in need of a collar he could have easily called in at my place and he woulu have received a collar.
“Re my fowls: I wish to point cm that the council has no jurisdiction over my poultry and I will please myself on my own property in how I run them. If they get into the next door property that is pure and simple a private matter, nothing to do with the Borough Council.” Political Addresses. The Hon. R.
