FEATHERSTON
DANCE AT TOWN HALL A LARGE ATTENDANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a very large attendance at the weekly dance held in the Town Hall on Saturday night. Excellent music was provided by Mrs'V. J. Ashton’s orchestra. Extras were played by Miss C. Saba and Mrs Robinson, with Lieut. D. Gillies at the drums. Mr Ashton was M.C.
The supper tables were tastefully decorated with spring flowers by Mrs Alexander. Supper was served by the Junior Patriotic Committee. Personal Items. Misses Clapshaw (Dannevirke), M. Clapshaw, A. Dawson, and Mr K. Clapshaw (Wellington) were weekend guests of Mrs A. P. Clapshaw, Wakefield Street. Messrs G. Fellingham and C. Beitelson, of Cambridge, were visitors to Featherston for the weekend and were the guests of Mrs G. W. Fellingham. Mrs E. Sim, Fltzherbert Street, has returned home after visiting Manakau. Miss Cora McLean, Kaiwarra, is the guest of Mrs K. McKenzie. Bell Street. Mr and Mrs A. S. Kilsby are visiting Wellington. Miss E. Willis, Masterton, was the weekend guest of Mrs F. Clarke, Hickson Street. Mr J. W. Holland, the local postmaster, who is also registrar of electors and returning officer for the Wairarapa electoral district, will be temporarily absent from his postal duties as from Tuesday. He will remove with his electoral staff, Miss E. Wilkinson and Mr C. W. Houghton, to the old Power Board buildings, until after the election. Mr C. J. Lyall, late postmaster at Woodlands, will relieve Mr Holland during hi s temporary absence from the local Post Office.
COSY THEATRE NEW PROGRAMME. Theic will be a new program .ne shown on Wednesday night commencing at 8 o'clock.
