FEATHERSTON
TOWN HALL DANCE RECORD ATTENDANCE. ("Times-Age” Special.) There was a record attendance at the dance held in the Town Hall on Saturday night. The music was supplied by Mr Len Daysh's Orchestra, and much appreciated extras were played by Misses N. Gunderson, M. Tocker, M. Gunderson and Corporal Chaplow. The M.C. was Mr Peter Habib. An iced fruit cake was won by Mr B. Bicknell. The supper tables were artistically decorated by Miss J. Tutbury. Personal Items. Mrs K. Woodley and Miss A. Henderson, Greytown, are the guests of Miss Z. Holland. Mrs McK. McClellan, Rotorua, is visiting Mrs Charles. Miss Joan Worsley, of the local telephone exchange, has resumed her duties after a month's sick leave which was spent in the north. Golf Club Competition. The fourth stableford competition held by the local golf club resulted as follows:—Mrs R. Donald, 1; W. H. Knowles and A. Clelland, equal, 2. Personal Items. Mr T. Sturdee, Featherston, left on Friday to enter an Air Force camp in the North Island. COSY THEATRE ‘‘PUDDIN’ 'HEAD.” Wednesday night's programme will be headed by the excellent drama, "Puddin' Head,” featuring Judy Canova and Francis Lederer.
