EPIPHANY LADIES’ GUILD

SOCIAL GATHERING AND DANCE. HELD AT KURIPUNI LAST NIGHT. A largely attended social gathering and dance was held by the Church of the Epiphany Ladies’ Guild at Kuripuni last night. A splendid programme was presented by the pupils of Miss Beulah Hirst, in which a high degree of talent was shown. The programme was: “Rose-a-Day,” Margaret Hoar, Lettie Little, Pat Bouzaid and Joan McLaren (soloist); recitation, Lorraine Fisher; tap dance, Pamela Stubbs (Carterton); operatic dance, Joan McLaren; tap dance, Laurine Bruce (Carterton); peasant dance, Pat Bouzaid; duo, the Pixie and the rose, Leslie Campbell and Pamela Groves; recitation, Joy Fisher, “Oh, You Beautiful Doll,” Joan McLaren; recitation, Roy Fisher; vocal solo, Miss Beulah Hirst. Miss Margaret McClymont played the music for the children’s items. Supper was served by the Ladies’ Guild.
