WOMEN’S DIVISION

PROVINCIAL COUNCIL. HOUSEKEEPERS FULLY EMPLOYED. At a meeting of the Wairarapa Provincial Council of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held recently, Mrs K. Groves presided over a large attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mesdames Barrer, Wiggins and B. Thompson. It was stated that one of the Division housekeepers, Miss Gibb, was now the sick list. Mrs Andrew, the Housekeepers’ Secretary, gave a report on the work of the housekeepers who, she said, had been fully employed. The Maori trainee had also given excellent service. Mrs Groves reported on the Palmerston North Rest Home and Mrs Beu reported on the executive conference.
