Mrs Atkinson, who was the delegate from the local Women’s Institute at the conference at Gisborne, has returned home.
Mr T. Hutana, Palliser Bay, is spending a few days at Pirinoa. Mr P. Matenga. who has been visiting relatives in Otaki, has returned home. Mr H. Robinson has returned from Wairoa. Mr L. Hooper lias boon appointed first assistant at the local cheese factory. Mrs Carter is the guest of Mrs J. Himona. Masterton. Low Lying Land Flooded. Heavy rain has been experienced during the week and low lying lands are a sea of water. In several places the Lower Valley road was -flooded.
