Hooper lias boon appointed first assistant at the local cheese factory. Mrs Carter is the guest of Mrs J. Himona. Masterton. Low Lying Land Flooded. Heavy rain has been experienced during the week and low lying lands are a sea of water. In several places the Lower Valley road was -flooded.
