MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE AGAINST DRIVER

ACCUSED SENT TO TRIAL.

After a number of witnesses had been heard, Donald Norman Mac Lean, motorman, who was charged with manslaughter respecting the death of an airman, James Edward Kerr, in a tram accident at Kilbirnie, pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Bail was allowed in a personal bond of £lOO, and one surety of a like amount.
