MARINE RISKS
CHANGES IN INSURANCE RATES.

WELLINGTON, August 11
Advices have been received that the schedule of war and strike rates for marine insurances to and from the undermentioned ports is now as follows: —
North and Central America, Atlantic and Pacific ports, via any route to and from Australia and New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, 7 per cent, except Pacific ports via the Pacific, which are 4 per cent. Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands, via Panama, to and from West Indies, 6 per cent. Australia or New Zealand, to and from the Mediterranean east of Alexandria, 8| per cent. Turkey, ex Mediterranean east cf Alexandria and ex Black Sea, 10 per cent.
The strike risk is now a minimum rate of one-twentieth per cent, but India and Ceylon remain unchanged at i per cent.
