WASTE PAPER COLLECTION

LAST CONSIGNMENT REALISES £34. HOURS OF MASTERTON DEPOT. A correspondent asks if it is still necessary to save all waste paper, cardboard and newspapers and if so, on what days is the waste paper depot open. The collection of waste paper continues to be successfully conducted in Masterton, the Town Clerk, Mr G. T. O'Hara Smith, stated this morning. The last consignment, one of over eight tons, sent from Masterton to the Whakalane Paper Mills, realised over £34, which amount has been credited to the Masterton Patriotic Funds. The depot in Church Street is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m.
