NO PERMISSION TO SHOOT DUCKS. “No permission has been given for anyone to shoot paradise or any„othei kind of ducks on Kourarau dam, said Mr H. W. Dale, secretary of the North Wairarapa branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society today. ‘ Paradise duck is a totally protected species, said Mr Dale, “and all other ducks on the dam are protected except in the shooting season. The shooting of any ducks on the dam at the present tm/J is illegal.” *
