DANCE IN MASTERTON LAST NIGHT.

COMPETITION WINNERS

. The Maori Interhouse girls’ team held a dance in the Masonic Hall, Masterton. last night, there being a large attendance. Much appreciated music was supplied by the Maori “After Beat orchestra, and extras were played by Mr Peter Haeata. Miss Waireka Nim (leader of the team) contributed songs. Mr L. Askew was an efficient M.C. . A lucky spot dance was won by Miss E. Janett and Private A. Lobbin, Second N.Z.E.F. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss P. Waipuka and Mr H. Waipuka. . Supper was served by a special ladies’ committee assisted by the interhouse team. Another dance will be held on August 26.
