FIRE SUPERINTENDENT

BOROUGH COUNCIL TRIBUTE TO LATE MR CLARK. Reference to the sudden death of the Superintendent of the Masterton Fire Brigade. Mr T. B. Clark, was made at last night's meeting of the Masterton Borough Council. It was decided to send a letter of condolence to Mrs Clark. The Mayor. Nir T. Jordan, said Mr Clark had been an extremely conscientious and assiduous officer. Councillor W. Kemp, who is chairman of the Masterton Fire Board, said few had any idea of the great change Mr Clark had made in the brigade records. He had been amazed at the wonderful records that were kept by him. His passing came as a great shock. The large attendance at his funeral in Wellington showed the esteem in which ho was held. Councillor W. H. Judd endorsed Councillor Kemp's remarks.
