MASTERTON SEAT

NATIONAL PARTY NOMINEES. MEETING LAST EVENING. Over 100 members of the Masterton branch of the National Party were piesent at the Masonic Hall last night to hear the two nominees for selection as the party’s candidate to contest the Masterton seat at the general election. Mr J. Macfarlane Laing, chairman ■of the Masterton branch, presided. A statement was read on behalf of Mr G. H. Mackley, who was unable to be present, and Major R. A. C. Selby addressed the meeting and answered various questions.
