BOROUGH AFFAIRS

MARTINBOROUGH COUNCIL, MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Martinborough Borough Council there were present: The Mayor (Mr C. R. Holmes), Councillors W. H. Corfield, F. Gray, A. Hamilton. W. Blissett, G. L. Sievers, C. M. Ross and J. W. Mills. Leave of absence was granted to Councillors H. T. Parsons and M. Mulvaney. The rates for 1943-44 were confirmed. The Works Committee reported that the sinking of a new well at the water headworks was proceeding satisfactorily. It was decided to invest £lOO ii. Liberty bonds. Accounts amounting to. £699 14s were passed for payment.
