WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT RONGOKOKAKO. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Rongokokako Women’s Institute, Mrs W. J. O’Neil presided over a fair attendance of members. A box lecture on gloves and mittens from Massey College was demonstrated by Mrs O’Neil. Mrs Briggs won the skill test. The competitions for the month resulted as follows: —Article from a flour bag: Mrs Baucke and Mrs K. Falkner, equal, 1; Mrs Morriss Senr., 2; Mi’s S. Smith, 3. Best flower: Mrs H. J. Winter, 1; Mrs S., Smith, 2; Mrs Baucke, 3. Three flowers: Mrs Morriss Senr., 1; Mrs K. Falkner, 2; Mrs Baucke, 3. ’The hostesses were Mesdames Goggin and Baucke. Mrs O’Neil thanked Mrs Briggs and Miss McPhee for having judged the competitions.
