RED CROSS SOCIETY ENJOYABLE CARD PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) At a flag 500 party held by the subcentre of the Red Cross Society there was a good attendance and the games were keenly contested. Mr L. C. Christie conducted the games. The following were the winners: — Ladies: Mesdames Edwards and Bowering. • Men: Messrs Salter and Petherick. Wandering parcel: Mr B. Oliver. Supper was served by the Red Cross Committee. The gathering was a most enjoyable one. Personal Items. Mr J. H. Mcßride has left for Queenstown, where his mother is seriously ill. Miss G. Preston, Wellington, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs M. R. Herbert, Alfredton Road. Miss Mary Murray-Aynsley, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs F. C. Turner, Waiwaka.
