The president referred to recent deaths, Messrs C. A. Cameron, Alex McPhee and. Mrs E. W. Allen, and members stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect, to their memory. Letters of sympathy are to be forwarded to the relatives. The credit balance at the bank was reported to be £306 16s 3d. The Masterton A. and P. Association wrote acknowledging a letter from the Wairarapa P. and A. Society offering the use of the Carterton Showgrounds to the Masterton Association for its next show ,and stating that the same would be dealt with at a committee meeting. Messages were received from various quarters expressing general satisfaction that the annual show would be held this year. The secretary informed members that the cleaning up of big stones and heavy metal used by the army when in occupation would be dealt with by the Wairarapa South County workmen. The grounds were already being put in order. A letter from the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board in regard to the annual meeting was read and it was resolved to support the election of Mr W. A. lorns to the board. One resignation was accepted. It was decided that the prize-money and classes at the show be the same as that allotted to the last show. It was resolved that the judges for Jersey entries as submitted by the Jersey Breeders’ Association be accepted and that the judges for all other classes be selected at the next meeting. It was decided that the canvas of Wellington for prize-money be made on July 12. The secretary asked members of the committee to let him have the names of members who were overseas, other than those already in his possession. This was for the purpose of forwarding them parcels and to arrange a roll of honour as in the last war. Mr W. H. Bird, Mauriceville, donated a special prize for the children’s classes at the Wairarapa Show, and was accorded a vote of thanks. j
