WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING AT KOPUARANGA. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women's Institute was held in the local hall yesterday when Mrs W. J. Cottle presided over a fair attendance of members. The roll call, “Show Something from Another Country,” brought many interesting exhibits. Members brought books for the Book Drive, and scraps of material for the occupational therapy ward. It was reported that two scarves and nine pairs of mittens had been knitted from wool distributed. .Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Misses Budd and M. Cottle.
Mrs Jarrett and Miss J. Cottle gave a demonstration on making attractive flower pots from old tins, and flowers from seed heads. They were accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of the president.
