PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age’’ Special.) Mr and Mrs A. Day have returned to Auckland. Miss Joan Bouzaid is spending the weekend at Wellington. Miss M. Carter is the guest of Mrs E. G. Thomas, Island Bay. Mrs V. Harris has returned from a holiday visit to Christchurch. Mrs Stansfield, of Otaki, is vsiting her daughter. Mrs J. Haycock, Morison’s Bush, Mr and Mrs D. Ingley have left on a holiday visit to Auckland and Rotorua. The officers of the Greytown Battalion of the Home Guard entertained Captain F. Dewhirst on Thursday fevening at a farewell gathering prior to his departure to Petone. Captain Dewhirst had been actively connected with the battalion since its formation. TOWN HALL “SOUTH AMERICAN GEORGE.”
The brilliant comedy, “South American George,” featuring George Formby, will be shown tonight, together with a March of Time. There will be a special showing of the picture “Paris Honeymoon" on Monday.
