ON MAIN JAPANESE CAMP AT KISKA SCORED BY AMERICAN AIRCRAFT. LITTLE REMAINING RESISTANCE ON ATTU. LONDON, June 3. American fighters and bombers again pounded Jap-' anese positions on Kiska. They scored direct hits on the. main Japanese camp area and on an airfield and artillery positions.

The number of Japanese killed on Attu' is 1791. Fighting has ceased, except for a few isolated enemy troops, who are being annihilated. The United States Secretary for War (Mr Stimson) stated in Washington that the American forces on Attu were now within striking distance of Japanese territory.
